We both slept in this morning, no alarm clock. That is one of life's most precious things, wish we all appreciated it more. We sort of lollygagged around the house for a while, then did our errands. We drove to downtown Seattle, and realized we had not been to the flagship REI in a long time, so we stopped in. Had serious thoughts on a new tent for the motorcycle trip, as the one we have was one Mike got from Marlboro for selling his lungs soul to the devil. The zipper is broke, and it is old. Our family tent is much too big for this trip. We bought several small things, and put the tent on hold, just in case.

We parked downtown, in a garage, with thoughts of riding the monorail to the Seattle Center. Walked a few blocks, to find the line for the monorail wrapped around Westlake Mall, and we could walk the entire route faster. Back to the car, and drove closer, paid again to park, at a much lesser price this time, and had good time at the "Bite". Mike and I used to go when it was held at Green Lake, in north Seattle 20 years ago. We no not make it there too often these days, but I really wanted to go. The place was packed to the tits a bit too crowded for us. We made a few laps, eating at a few different places. Most booths have a 'sample' taste of the dishes for $3. I wanted to eat as many of those as I could before my stomach exploded. we saw a lot of dogs and a lot of skin. Too many of each, if you ask me. It was not a good place for a dog, they all seemed miserable. A lot of the skin we saw was coming from people that had no business sharing that much. My favorite dish was ribs from Famous Dave's. I look forward to visiting the actual establishment in the future, which is why the whole affair is put on in the first place.

We left earlier than I had imagined, and decided to stop back at that REI store, and buy that tent for our birthday gifts to each other. I am sure we will get our moneys worth out of it. We were both still pretty full, and did not need more food once home. I did pop a batch of popcorn (the Alton Brown way) and we watched Blue Collar comedians, Ron White and Bill Engvall.

Since I watched the Harry Potter movie the other day, I am now reading the 7th book once again. I think this is the 3rd time, but I just had to do it, with book 6, and the movie fresh in my mind.
