Alisha had said she was coming over this morning. I so wrongly assumed it would be around 11, as I am more used to her sisters. Not her...she called me at 9:00, saying she was done with her stuff, and heading my way. HUH? I was in no way ready for her, but I had showered. I said I needed to make a grocery run, and she said she would be here in 10 minutes, to be ready to jump in. WOW!

So we went shopping, then back here. I fixed a breakfast/snack/lunch for Aurelia, and Alisha toasted a bagel. I had a bowl of cereal, and we all jumped into the pool. ahhhhhhhh....it was around 11:00, and already about 85 degrees, maybe hotter. We stayed in the water for a little over an hour. Aurelia had a floatie thing, and we played and played. I brought as many little toys as I could round up that were waterproof. She had a great time. After getting out, and changing into dry clothes, they went home. We figured she would be asleep before they made it to the stop sign at the end of our street.

Within 10 minutes, Brittany and Ryan stopped in. They wanted to se if we had an extra fan, and to also use the pool for a few. Britt said 10 minutes...right, it was more like 25 or 30, but I am so glad they are using it. Not that this is the worlds largest pool, mind you. It is only 3.5 feet deep, and 14' across. Let's just say it cools you down, but do not dive. It really feels pretty good.

I worked a late shift today, 2pm-10pm. I rode the Beemer, with the cooling vest on. As I sit here, I think I should either put it back on, or go jump into that pool. I have no idea what Mike had for dinner. He did not eat the stuff I bought at the store, guess I will do that tomorrow, when I am off at a more reasonable time. We were quite busy, with $1 iced teas, sundaes, and cones. Sales did not show how much I did, and I swear we need to raise the prices.(did I just write that?) I mean we were still high on labor today, but during my hours, I was short handed. I am tired of seeing that. I am hot, sweaty, tired...and I go back in 11 hours...ugh...dammit anyway, I just spilled my glass of ice water...I better go clean this up. at least it went on the floor, not on the keyboard this time.
