On our agenda for Saturday, is trying to pack all of our gear that we think we will be needing, and fitting onto the two bikes. We will then go for a ride, to see about the handling. We leave next weekend, for our tour of Washington State on the motorcycles. My Chromeheads group of riders want to meet up with us early Saturday morning, and ride over the North Cascade Highway with us for a while, then they will turn back, as we continue on. The problem witht that is we are perhaps the slowest people ever to get the hell out of town. slowest....ever....slow...We have decided to leave Friday night, and hotel it one night near the meet up spot, and hope for the best. i dunno...That means we both work Friday (I am trying desperatly to cover a portion of my shift) and pack, and ride for a couple of hours. Sounds tiring to me. I think I need a different bag for stuff. Bigger, better, easier. I am sure the Chromies will offer all sorts of opinions for me, once they see the set up. I had Aurelia yesterday. The weather was still HOT! We went to breakfast where my boss gave her every Beanie Baby toy we had available. We then stopped at a Fred Meyer, looking for air conditioning, and pool toys. A young employee asked if I had found what I was looking for in his show department, and I said I found the AC as soon as the door opened! I was hoping to kill an hour in there...I brought her to my house, where Brittany and Ryan were out in the pool. I headed out alone, hoping to find the lounge pad things. I stopped at the bank, then at the second sporting good store, there they were...the guy said he found them hiding in the back room, and had just set them out. I was so happy to find the exact ones I wanted. They have blow up tube around the perimeter, and a net type thing you lay on, so your body is in the water. Unlike some of them, where water can pool up in your lap, and you get used to the warmer water there. These always have the pool water under you body. Yeah...then, the weather turned cool. Back to our more mild temperatures, and I didn't try out those loungers...perhaps tomorrow. I ate dinner at work, since I was there until 11pm. I then went grocery shopping, came home to find Mike playin a Wii game. He helped me put it away, and he went to bed. I see a pizza box here, from a favorite of the kids'...I know what they did. |
