I woke this morning, dreaming I was riding the motorcyle out in the snow. Yeah, the snow. On my bike. I was cold, so I stopped and added a layer, and went on. I stopped again, and added another layer. This continued until my bladder woke me up. I then realised I was butt naked, with a fan still blowing on me. I guess the high heat wave has subsided, and I need to find my blanket again, or stop using the fan. brrrrrrr I stopped at AAA and got a campbook, and another map. I am wearing that place out. Got to work, and Erin looked as if she had been beat up. SHe said she had not got a break for herself yet, and that would be my first ojective. After that, we really went downhill. We were quite busy for a Monday and with the computer in the back booth still down, it just sucked all day. The new computer was delivered today,a nd it should be installed tonight. That will make our lives much easier. Two of our crew were scheduled to work in the kitchen area today, but neither of them have been trained there. That left my only two to make each and every item, with about 6 service people. This was "out of balance" and really messed us up, too. I went ahead and sent one of those two on a break, thinking I would have another one show up in 5 minutes. She showed, but she refused to work in the kitchen. SHE REFUSED. I got a little hot under the collar, and sent her home. I made it very clear, that if she could not work where I needed her, then I would not require her services. Go home. 'nuff said. She left, and I stayed where I was, in the kitchen. Muttered through the day, and left for home, where I found Mike had fixed the leftover taco meat into a casserole. He is so busy planning each stage of this trip on his maps, I hate to make suggestions at this point. I keep telling him, "I just follow", and he seems to be getting annoyed or angry... Oh, chatted with my brother this morning, well, do IM's count? Talking about his trip to Seattle area next summer, for my big anniversary bash. He is making me get excited about that thing, too. Life is good... |
