The spots on the radio are saying, "We are looking for lost dogs". Fans of the University of Washington whom have wandered away in the recent years, and are needing to find their way back home (the seats in the stadium). They fired Tyrone Willingham, and hired Steve Sarkisian, whom was an assistant coach from the USC staff. He brought along a whole bunch of their coaching staff, to build upon last years 0-12 season. Jake Locker is in his junior year, but his fourth as a Husky, as he sat out his freshman season. He is the best quarterback in the entire Pac-10 conference. Hands down, the best. The thing is, after just three games so far this season, he has already improved tenfold. He must have a whole lot more potential, as having decent coaching is working wonders. They were underdogs for the opening game, out of conference against LSU. They nearly won that game, and even in defeat, there were more positives than negatives. The second game was against another out of conference opponent, the University of Idaho. The won that game handily, and then faced USC today. Last years score against them was a lethargic 56-0...to NOTHING. omg, it has been hard to watch... Today, against the nationally ranked #3 team, the USC Trojans came in, expecting to win quite easily, even if they lost something like 10 players to the NFL, including their quarterback. He has been replaced by a freshman, whom was injured last week, and did not play today. Instead, we went against a sophmore, whom had never once started a game. The deck was stacked in our favor: our coaches knew everything about them; their leader had never before led; they were in our house; maybe they didn't think they needed to practice for us, just sort of show up; odds makers in Vegas had them winning by double digits easily, and on and on... It was an incredible game, very competitive, from start to finish. Some questionable calls, both for and against us. It came down to a last ditch field goal, with 7 seconds on the clock. Perhaps the football gods are seeing to it that the universe is back on the right track. It will once again be a priority to watch UW football. Amazing! UW 16 USC 13 Other than that, Mike and I finally got Caitlyns room emptied! We will work on tearing up the old carpet tomorrow. We bought paint for it, and hope to have that work in progress going all week, so my neice Veronica can sleep in there Friday and Saturday nights. Then, the boss can use that room instead of the smaller one for the remainder of her stay. We dropped crap off at Goodwill, ate at the China Buffet, shopped at Lowe's, and returned home. Oh, for the few of you that had subscribed to this post, I deleted every single one of you tonight. No more cramming your inbox full, the very least I could do. If however you enjoyed that, then simply re-subscribe, and I will leave it, but I highly doubt there will be any takers. You are welcome, only because I love you...you know who you are... |
