The boss and I were yapping the other day, when I realised I had passed a major milestone. Last summer, before I was releived of my duties, I was given a period of time in which I wasn't able to get a "bad" comment, from a customer or employee. "The next incident will result in your termination" I was told. I asked how long a time frame would that be, 2 weeks, 2 months, a year? Just how long? SHe glared into my eyes, and said, Let's call it a year.". It was a bit later in that same week that she caught wind of a mother of a crew person hashing it out with me, from 2 weeks prior. I was let go for that. After taking a few eeks off, and then writing my story out on paper, I went in to talk to the owner of the place, and she apologized to me, and rehired me. All water under the bridge now at this point, but....drum roll here....I DID IT! I DID go an entire year without ONE complaint! Even I didn't think that would happen. I hated every minute of working at the CP location, and quite a bit of the MC store. I cannot begin to put into words just how much I like the store I am at. I love the people, from the boss, down to the newly hired crew, with very few exceptions (ummm, yes there are a core few). The store is easy, and fun, and is never boring. Now that that is out of the way...I left home early this morning, and stopped to get a haircut, then at Michael's for a craft project for work. Things didn't take as long as I had allotted for, and I showed up a bit early. The supervisor was there, as she has just returned to work after her maternity leave. She is splendid! I trash talked with her a bit, and we were both in a pretty decent mood. Came home to baked halibut with pesto, rice and corn. The boss tried it, and was a bit amazed that she liked it, as she isn't much of a fish person. It was tad overdone, but who can complain when they are not cooking? I am heading to bed early, as I have an early (for me) start. |
