Wow! It is taking a long time to do this room. After getting it emptied out, it took us a week to paint it. I bought some laminate flooring for it, and assumed it would be as easy as the stuff we have previously purchased and installed ourselves. Not the case this time. It isn't clicking and locking, we are really struggling to connect the pieces. It is just a big squarish room, and it should have taken us a few hours to do...noooo, not us...I finally gave up, and went to Costco to just get a different type, but it seems theirs is pretty much the same way. After taking a break, we just got back to it, and got to the point where we realised we need one more box. dammitalltohell. IKEA is a long way from home, but we will find time to go today. Speaking of today, we are having a "love the boss day". She was scheduled to work the overnight shift this evening, and was not able to go see her boys this week. I suggested a corn maze/pumpkin patch. SInce she had never done that, Mike and I volunteered to go. This is an activity we really enjoy, but we feel foolish going without children. We located a farm near their grandmothers home, where they are living. It should be a fun and tiring day. Speaking of the Boss...She has made a lifetime decision. Well, actually quite a few of thjose, but only one that I can share here, at this time. SHe told her husband, whom is in Texas, waiting for her to bring the kids to live happily ever after, that she is not interested in continuing the marriage. She is currently looking for housing for herself and the boys around here. my time is done, I am posting now, and leaving for the pumpkin patch. |
