What another busy week. I am off today, being it is Saturday. I need to start working on Saturdays, as it is becoming very stressful there, and I am not riding as much as I used to. It would probably be a smart move, to kiss a little a$$ with the higher beings. I do want to take them off again in the spring however. I would qualify for one weekend each month off, and I already have those requested in the book. The biggest problem would be, which day off would take the place? Seems to me that Friday would substitute well, as we have a lot of managers available on that day, and I would then get two consecutive days off. That might be nice, too. Things around the house are progressing, slowly but surely. Mike has made custom baseboards for that spare room, and has them ready for install. Not sure when he will get around to that, but they look pretty good as they are. I think the most recent plan is for us to move our bedroom to that room, and then redo the back bedroom. Seems it will never end. The back room would then become a guest room at some point, if we can figure out how to change three twin beds into a queen. I just put dinner into the oven, and had a few minutes to kill. My moms scalloped potatoes, with ham and cheese. Talk about some comfort food that calls all of my kids home. Alisha and Chris will be stopping by in a awhile to grab a bite, and leave the baby. They have a birthday party to get to, which is a cruise around Lake Washington, for five hours on a yacht. Sounds like I should have wrangled an invite to that instead of watching Aurelia. I work at 8:00 in the morning, and they won't be here to get her until around 2:00. The boss will be in charge of the sleeping baby while I go to bed. She does come in handy around here. |
