A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)

Nesting and Cleaning

Mon Aug 29 - Although my day at work ended horribly, it wasn't really all that bad of a day. The biggest problem was that the labs for my training class/manual don't work yet. So the end of the day wrapped up with an email to my boss (and her boss!) that said "I couldn't meet my deadline, here were the problems, here's what we tried, and here's what I plan to do tomorrow to solve the problem). I hope I did okay with that.

Oh! And Rhonda loved the purple scarf, but felt bad accepting it since her computer had exploded (figuratively) all day Friday and she wasn't able to do a thing with my project after all. But hey, the scarf was for her, and I was happy to see how lovely it looked on her.

On the drive home, Kristin and I had matching schedules again, so we managed to have a lovely chat for about an hour or so as we both drove home from our respective offices.

The at-home evening was incredibly productive. First, I finally had the energy to clean up the weekend stuff that I left strewn about the house yesterday. So now all the camping and coffee bar gear has been washed and put away, plus two boxes of kitchen supplies from my stacks of boxes. The laundry is ready to go out the door tomorrow morning, my room is picked up again, and I even had time to sit and have a nice dinner.

But best of all, because it was Diego's birthday today, I worked on getting all the photos from the event two weeks ago done and loaded on a website, as a present to him. He runs their household's website, and really wanted copies of the photos I took. So, although I didn't finish until 20 minutes past midnight, happily I did finish. So, please enjoy the photos I took: http://www.crescentwing.com/crimsonspade/

(By the way, I *am* in some of these photos!)

Recently Watched: hours and hours of TiVo'ed shows in the background, while working on the photos and website code... shows such as several episodes of "Battlestar Galactica" (gee, thanks Dayle, you've hooked me!), a few episodes of Kathy Griffin, an episode of Queer Eye, and deleting several entries of black screen when apparently my cable box lost power (sigh)
