A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

13 Boxes Down, 4 To Go

Mon Sep 5 - Holiday, day off work, and errand after errand! I really wanted to hurry home, so I didn't stay around Ken and Dayle's long enough to see them when they got up. I did manage to swing by Elizabeth & Griffin's to drop off some yarn for the kids' events in several weeks, pick up all my mail, and try to connect with JS to drop off some leather for some shoes he's having made. But he was headed to Santa Barbara and was running late, so the leather will have to wait for another project, another day.

So I got home, cleaned up, and then Adrienne came over to spend the day helping me empty boxes finally. We spent nearly eight hours on the boxes in my house, although part of that was a break for dinner and the end of that was me hugging her and heading off to bed. But we started at 2 pm and I was in bed by 10 pm and just exhausted.

I moved all the "easy" boxes out into the living room—they will be like a "reward" to work on later, as a reward for working on all the icky boxes.

And so I tackled the scary boxes all day with Adrienne hanging out and keeping me company. The best thing about her help was that she just kept packing up the "give away to Goodwill" boxes for me, and occasionally took things and decided for me if it was Goodwill or Trash. And most helpful, when there were ex- things, she took them and trashed them for me, when I just couldn't look at them.

So there's only 4 cardboard boxes left against the wall, and a bunch of odds-and-ends strewn about that I have to organize, and all the easy-to-organize boxes out in the living room. But you can see the floor, you can see the wall, and the room looks huge again. It's really exciting!
