A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)
If it's color-coded, I understand it (If it's not color-coded, I don't understand it)

Coffee Bar of Splendooor Delivers

Sun Sep 11 - The best choice I made today was finally getting enough sleep. I hadn't done that in forever, and so although I skipped/cancelled going to church, going to the park for fighter practice, and going to 2 different birthday parties, I got enough sleep and had no trouble doing the rest of my errands and commitments for the day.

First I drove around Long Beach to find Mer's new place, so I can take stuff over to her place later. Then I stopped off at Saul & Erika's apartment to deliver a CD with all the photos from yesterday to Ben, who does the Crimson Spade website.

Got to town and went to JS's to drop off the leather and pick up the paperwork for this weekend's Crown tournament organization. Went by Etain's and picked up the charms for the consort tokens.

Made it to our choir rehearsal, and really ran a good rehearsal. We did organizational/planning things first, then sang for the last hour. We had three altos, one soprano, two tenors, one bass, and we really did a good job together. Even though we're small, we're starting to feel like we could really pull this off—even as a small group. This is a good sign.

Finally, I stopped off at a local independent record store to pick up a card and a gift certificate. The gal at the counter who was ringing up the gift certificate was very chatty and did one of those random "So what did you do this weekend?" things. I ended up chatting with a complete stranger at the record store about the SCA event the day before (which was funny in itself) and at one point in the conversation my age came up. She guessed I couldn't be older than 25. This is starting to get pretty darn funny.

Tina helped keep me awake on my drive as we chatted for nearly an hour all about all the things in our lives. I felt bad missing the fighter practice, but she did too so it was all fun.

And on the last leg of the trip I managed to hit the drive-through coffee for a latté for myself and coffee and chocolate for Saul, who was still up late working on a writing project. Okay, so it wasn't Coffee-Bar-of-Splendoor, but it was a coffee delivery service of silliness.
