A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

Returning to Journaling

Thu Feb 9 - Hello my darlings, sorry for the long lapse in writing. Just a refresher from December and January: I got sick, I got well, there were holidays, I got sick, I got well again. And in that second "get well" phase, I somehow ended up riding a wave of organizational energy which had me working on so many other projects, that journal writing suffered.

Besides organizing and feeling excessively energetic, I've been cooking and eating right again. It wasn't any conscious effort to have "New Year's Resolutions" or anything, but it simply coincided with getting well and healthy again after being sick twice this winter season.

When I was sick in December, and then again in January, I gravitated toward eating soups and veggies and fruits. When I got well, and had this lovely extra energy, I decided it was worth getting back into the habit of cooking every meal and rarely eating out or going through drive-thru for food, or even coffee.

I've now successfully spenk five weeks in a row that I've been making a pot of soup in the beginning of the week, and packing soup and salad for lunch each day at work. I've also been updating my paper and electronic calendars, which has helped me stay up on all my activities and appointments again.

My weight loss has been kicked into gear again, and in four weeks I've roughly lost 11 lbs. I've described this to several friends that my long term goal is to be walking along at an event some day, in some fantastically tailored medieval dress, all clingy and gorgeous, and hear someone behind me say "Oh my goodness, is that who I think that is? How much has she lost? She looks hot!" *tiny wicked giggle* I think that's a lovely goal, don't you?

Coming Up: Lots of Estrella prep this weekend, Estrella (camping in Arizona) all next week, band show on Feb 25.

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: The patience of all my lovely friends and family who've been wondering why I haven't written in my journal lately. I'm back, my dears.
