A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)

Lull before the storm

Sun Feb 12 - I didn't exactly go to sleep "early" or even "on time" last night. But I did get up at a normal hour, since I had laundry to do before going to Eleanor's party.

I enjoyed the party immensely, but I'm not nearly as packed and ready as I should be for war. But when I got home, I spent the evening finishing computer tasks, emails, and balancing my checkbook, then returning calls. Lynn lives about 80 minutes north from me, and needs to be at a class 40 minutes south of me Monday and Tuesday. We were hoping to have dinner together tomorrow night, but if I'm north and she's south, there's no way to get together.

But then she told me she was planning to drive home after this training tomorrow, which would have put her in rush hour traffic for nearly three hours (one way!) only to repeat it again in the morning. So I convinced her to spend the night here tonight and we'll have breakfast before she goes to class. Then I'll finish shopping and packing and leave for the evening, and she'll stay her with my roomie tomorrow. Yippee, I think this saves her between 8-12 hours on the road, and we got to spend the evening together.

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: The ability to be there for friends who are like family. I love being able to do these things. And I love friends like Lynn and Bill.
