A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)
If it's color-coded, I understand it (If it's not color-coded, I don't understand it)

Happy Flip the Calendar Day

Wed Jan 31: Fighter Practice - Being at fighter practice was really enjoyable last night. Jamal even commented that it was nice to see me there, since non-fighters rarely show up on a regular basis. Sometimes spouses, girl- or boy-friends will attend, the occasional child. But true non-fighter friends rarely attend fighter practices, and of course I understand why. But having an evening to just work on hand-sewing or other tasks is a nice addition to my week. It's so nice to have that kind of relaxing space in my schedule, where I just slow down and work on crafts.

The added bonus is that I finally have started to get to know the fighters of our Barony, and of course I get to meet the newcomers who are never that likely to come to a baronial council meeting. So it's finally feeling like a home to me.

Thu Feb 1: Happy Flip the Calendar Day - Ah, my favorite monthly administrative holiday: Flipping my calendars. It's a moment of reflexion: What did I do with my last month? Did I accomplish what I dreamed of? How will I make next month better? It's a moment of preparation: What birthdays are coming up? What plans to I have for seeing friends and family? It's a moment to stop and be thankful: I made it another month. Good things have happened. Bad things are past and lessons are learned. Life goes on, and life is worth celebrating.

Have you celebrated your calendar today?

On another note, late last night and early this morning, I finished up the rest of the photo albums for yesterday's post.

Just in case you read yesterday's journal entry already, and haven't seen the latest updates, here are the photo album(s) I completed after the post was up:

From Arye's Welcome:
As Mina sang Cask and Crew, I took photos of each of us during our verses, including the three Petes. So here's much of the White Star, as we hung out around the Villa.

From Angels Melee:
Angels Melee was to designed for practicing melee (group) menuevers for war, but I really only got photos of opening court.

From Quiddich:
At the end of the game practice, I managed to snap a few photos of Quiddich practice.

From Mitch:
Enjoy a small album of Mitch's photos.

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: Another morning, another month, another chance to keep living
