A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)
If it's color-coded, I understand it (If it's not color-coded, I don't understand it)

Geeky Goodness and Photos

Geeky Goodness and Photos - I bought a window thermometer from Think Geek to display at my desk, so I can really know how COLD it is in here. This morning, it only felt moderately chilly, not really that cold, and it was 69.1 degrees. It went up to 70.3 as I wrote this journal entry (this morning). I alternated between using my lap blanket, putting it away, wrapping up in it again, and putting it away again. I'm hopeful that my new office location is not under a vent... We'll see. Here's the photo after I mounted the thermometer... you can see that it was as warm as 79.3 as I was unpacking it and warming it with my hands. By tomorrow, we'll see a proper "Max/Min" reading from the temperatures in the office itself.

I also snapped a quick image of my new workspace itself, since it still amuses me. I used to have an entire cubicle with 5 overhead bins, several sets of filing cabinet drawers, 4 walls, and 3 counter surfaces. Now I have only 1 overhead, no cabinet drawers, and just this corner plus one counter to work with. It's a good thing I'm learning how to reduce clutter. I uploaded the image to Flickr, just so I could tag some of the items in the photo.

Of course, once I tagged my desk, I had to tag my living room clutter-busting photo.

Back to the Computer - So now I have to hit the computer for some very task-related focus, rather than for fun. Have a lovely evening, folks.

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: Stephen, a friend I finally got to know better recently. It's always nice to learn more about our friends over a nice meal.
