Suddenly I'm popular. *shrug*

A friend called this morning, asked to borrow some dvds and I said sure - she came at lunchtime, though, and I hadn't seen her in forever, so I made pizza and we ate, talked, laughed, and then decided to watch BRIDGET JONES: EDGE OF REASON. Which wasn't as good as the first one, I'll admit.

It was the writing, mostly. There were parts that were achingly predictable, and then again there were the surprising parts so that was good. But there wasn't enough of the surprising parts to make it ALL good. Though I'm still a Renee Zellwegger fan, she's not as good in this, either. Though I will say that Colin Firth and Hugh Grant are really, really good in this movie.

Anyway.

Now I'm trying to make dinner before having to race off to kid activities tonight, and I find that the chicken that I took down to thaw some three days ago ISN'T thawed. Have you ever had to stick your hand into a frozen chicken to get the extra bits out, so you could thaw the stupid thing faster with running cold water? My fingers are absolutely FROZEN. And voluntarily. Amazing.

Sigh.

So if I'm lucky, I'll get a couple good pages in tonight. The good thing is, I've had some GREAT breakthrough ideas to get me over the stuck parts...so all in all, the day's not been a total loss, writing-wise.
