Instead, I went to Lulu's with Jenn and we talked. A lot. And ate bagels and drank coffee and generally recharged ourselves in each other's company. It was all good. I am lucky to have such a friend.

In other news, the LA Times had a whole article on quiche in its Food section today (one of my favorites, I must admit). I made quiche for a friend of mine in Autumn, and it didn't turn out well at all. And now I know why. Apparently, I need to make the crust first, bake it, then add the ingredients - and THEN bake it again. And then put it in the fridge and forget about it for 24 hours.

EXCUSE ME???!!

Okay, I'll try it. But not without a lot of grumbling, mind you. Who has time to bake something that won't get eaten until the next day? No woman who runs a household that *I* know of, that's for sure. Who has the time?!

Tomorrow, I go to my friend Tally's house for lunch. For a special Birthday lunch. Tally is the one who inducted me into my 40s with lunch (and champagne), saying welcome to Diva-Hood. And yeah, it's felt freeing. But looking back, that was five (gulp) years ago.

Damn. I must be getting old....

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
