Christine's New Chapter

I should have started work on the rewrite. I should have done laundry. I should have weeded, since it didn't rain today. I should have...

But instead, I had a lovely, lazy day. Finished a book I was reading. Enjoyed the bulbs blooming in my garden. Went out to Borders and bought THREE books written by friends: CONTACT, by Evelyn Vaughn (A Silhouette Bombshell); GET BUNNY LOVE by Kathleen Long (which is just hysterical! put out by Zebra); and BREATHLESS PASSION by Emilie Rose (a Silhouette Desire, the line I'm aiming for - and Emilie is a sweetie, to boot). So I've got books I MUST read soon...and it's nice to know I'm helping friends.

But it's been a lazy day. Made beef stew, which entailed half an hour of work and three hours in the oven. Nice! Read a lot, newspaper, books (but not yet the three I've just purchased), magazines, and the Century's Best Short Stories - I don't remember the editors, but the stories I've read so far - woof! Damn good, even if they aren't sci fi.

And hubby bought me some Swarovski jewelry...in Paris, we saw a Swarovski dealer in the complex where the Louvre is, and the prices were too outrageous. But there was a dealer here in town, and he took me there and bought me a bracelet, necklace and earrings - saying that they were a mere third of the price than at the Louvre, that he'd rather have gotten them in Paris, but hey...so now I have pretty sparklies that I plan to wear a lot.

Other good things are on the horizon. Now if only I can buckle down to this darned rewrite...I'll never make my March 18 deadline.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
