Met with Jenn this morning, a good gabfest. She helped me with the plotting of the current rewrite. I went on to write seven plus pages, but boy oh boy...get home, pick up one of the categories written by someone I e-know, and immediately got depressed.

Maybe I don't want to write like everyone else in order to get published.

At any rate, I'll be changing the love scene that I just wrote a bit (like, maybe, tossing it entirely) and sharpening the sexual tension in the book as it currently stands. I'm not willing to change much of anything else in my writing (but this love scene was giving me conniptions today, so I won't mind losing it).

Writing to market is so hard, but if you can do it, it's a steady career. That is, if you can pump out three or four books a year.

Yeah, give me the chance to prove it...
