Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Sushi, Killer workouts, and Franciscan Nuns

Sushi. Okay. On Sunday, after the morning at the beach, we stopped by costco and hubby decided to pick up a huge tray of sushi, thinking he could have it for lunch during the week. He was a tad worried about it going bad before eating it all.

Ahem. We nibbled on it for lunch on Sunday. We both had it for lunch on monday. There's very little sushi left - just enough for his lunch tomorrow. (And technically, it's all cooked stuff so it's not 'sushi'...)

Costco sushi. Who knew?

Started my private training sessions today - oy! I have noodle legs now. My abs don't hurt, but I think they'll hurt more tomorrow. We do cardio and upper body on Thursday.

I am going to get in shape, and Julie is going to be the one to help me do it. She's amazing. She takes such good care of me! I haven't felt this positive about working out since - oh - 1988? 89? That long. It makes such a difference when there's someone there with you. This is my summer of looking as good as I feel. Woo!

After the training session this morning, I went on an outing with a couple members of my RWA chapter, to check out the Poverello of Assisi Retreat House. Beautiful spot in San Fernando - grass, trees, a nice breeze. These cute little nuns were trotting about, Franciscan nuns - rather, Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. And expensive as all get out, so we aren't having our retreat there.

But those nuns - they were all so old. They get around in golf carts. It makes me sad...who will replace them when they die? The state of the world, and the catholic church...there just aren't that many women any more who jump into wanting to be married to Jesus Christ. And while it's probably politically incorrect of me to even mention it, I'll be very sad when the last nun dies, ending a long era. Of what, I'm not sure.

Writing. Oh yeah, still working on that. Harlequin and Silhouette are once again shaking things up, so lines are changing again which sends reverberations throughout the unpublished world. Not to mention the published world, especially if you're an author in one of the lines that's closing.

So, still writing. Just not sure what my next project should actually be. We'll see.
