I managed to judge one entry in the Golden Gateway today (plus one yesterday) amidst using a drill and a bunch of screws to put up about 12 feet of fencing. I know, it doesn't sound like a lot - but my hand is smaller than the average man's, and the power drill is too big. My right hand hurts now - I think I'm getting a blister.

But, woo! I can now not only use a drill, but a cutoff saw as well. I am powerful - I even have my own tool belt (but it's not a girly one - I'll have to see what I can do to change that).

After two days of judging other people's writing, though, I'm ready to get back to my own story, hear my own words in my head, find my own mistakes and turn them around. I am more than ready to hide in my cool cave during the day and plot away, rather than work outside with my hands. Though I LIKE working outside with my hands, I wouldn't want to have to do it for a living. And I admire those who do, for whatever reason.

Too many book ideas running through my head. Must go take hot shower now before my body decides to just quit on me.
