Christine's New Chapter

Got the AYSO meeting out of the way last night, oy! And another one tomorrow. So not fun, but hey, it's all for the kids.

This morning I went to Thousand Oaks to pick up the soon-to-be my car, a well-kept Dodge Caravan, and took it to a mechanic to get it checked out. The two major things had been taken care of - they'd gotten a new timing belt AND a new transmission - yay! - and all it really needed was a tune up/oil change. Imagine my relief!

Took it to the hubby, who also liked it, and drove it back to Susan's house. She agreed to get a tuneup, and I'll be driving in to Van Nuys on Sunday the 14th to pick it up (after a LONG drive from Mammoth but eh). So this week I'll hit up the credit union and get a money order.

The real cool thing? She took $300 off the already low price of $1800!

The weird thing? The van is a deep purple. PURPLE!!! What do you call a van that is purple? At least the inside is a soothing grey.

Considering that my current van's electrical system lights keep going on, getting this newish car will be like a dream come true. It even has a still-new scent to it, and the air conditioning works like a charm.

Amazing.
