Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Yesterday was a long, tiring, and ultimately fun day. I spent most of it outside, helping to set up the fields for picture day for AYSO, then shepherding the folks around who needed help. Long. Six hours long. I'm thinking my volunteerism with AYSO will be for one year only.

Last night, we had a young actress come over and help us out with a short that hubby wanted to film. Another friend came, too - we had a great time. The guys fiddled with lighting and the technical end, I cooked, Kellie watched the boys play their computer games, then finally the shoot took place.

It looks terrific. The camera loves Kellie, definitely, and that got my mind working - but I digress. Food was next on the agenda - lots of it. Asian peanut chicken. Veggie yaki nori. Deep fried tofu with hoisin sauce, a surprisingly tasty dish. And wine, of course, hearty Zinfandel to stand up to the flavors of the food.

We adjourned outside after dinner to a fire and a full moon, more wine and some chocolate. Just lovely. We managed to stay out there chatting until almost 1am. This, on top of my already exhausting day!

But that got the brain thinking. I'd already come up with a movie-short idea, with me and an actor buddy that I met through Shrew. He's all for it. Then today, my brain worked out how to include Kellie. And perhaps another Kelie. Plus Buzz and Lynn. So now I'm writing an outline of a screenplay - we'll tape it a la Christopher Guest, just tons of tape and lots of improv.

Who knows. Maybe it'll be magic, maybe it'll be a waste of money. But if it keeps my emotional self stable, that's what counts.
