Christine's New Chapter

Had a healthy day. Did 20 minutes of yoga this morning, then went on an hour walk with hubby. Did some shopping for plants, and then spent a total of 5 hours in my secret garden.

The ivy had taken over, so I had a lot to clean up. Not to mention I needed to prune the lavender and the rosemary. After mowing and doing the pruning, the garden smelled so wonderful I walked around in a daze for awhile! But just clearing that out so I could see the bulbs coming up took a bunch of energy, so I came inside, had lunch and read email and chilled.

Went back outside about 4pm and cleared up my mess, then potted 5 tomato plants, 1 catnip plant, and planted 2 basil plants. I've still got a ton of bulbs to plant (but WHERE???) and all the citrus needs watering, but my garden is back in shape and waiting for company.

Now there's a fire laid with our holiday wreath. All that is needed is a match and the family. UPDATE: I hear it's sprinkling and the wind is up. Well, there went that idea!

But I'm refreshed and ready for another healthy day. Tomorrow, though, I'll be writing some.
