Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

And *Whoosh* goes the weekend.

Pages Written... 9
Listening to... Springsteen singing folk tunes
Currently Reading... The Grrl Genius Guide to Sex (with other people) A Self Help Novel

The weekend has fled in a flash. Yesterday was spent getting my face and the backs of my hands burned in the sun while my eldest played two games of tournament soccer. The first game, 9am. The second? 3:30. At an hour drive away from home, and with the price of gas, it was cheaper to stay where we were and bring a sack lunch than to actually go anywhere.

So I did manage, in the downtime, to write. Quite a bit, actually. Because the 100 pages I've gotten done on the one paranormal needs to be "fixed", and the new paranormal I'm writing hasn't actually been started... In "fixing" the old one yesterday, I came up with a "new" one. Which is confusing to say the least, but I'll be able to resurrect several scenes (with minor changes) for the new book.

Why bother? The editor I was to have pitched at the San Diego conference last month has agreed to take a synopsis and the first 5 chapters of a novel. FIVE CHAPTERS. The five I have aren't good enough to send to her - the book I'd planned to write isn't started. Hence, the mid-book. Wouldn't it be funny if this is the one that gets me the farthest in this up and down career?

So writing happened yesterday, more writing today, and I'm pleased. There's conflict. There's intrigue. There's magic, a villian to destroy and a town to save. And all that is revealed in the prologue and Chapter One. Not bad, huh?

Now, I'm off to work. Hopefully it won't be too late a night.
