Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Well, the latest novel sent off to HQ/Sil came back with a rejection today. A form letter, and yet an "I strongly hope you'll feel free to query me again" letter. I checked in with my buds at my Sil loop, and they all said, yep, she liked my work - it was just the story she didn't like. Which has been a problem of mine lately...

I really like the house late at night. The boys are all asleep (except the cat) and I can prowl, eat, write, burp, do yoga, read, skritch Zaphod, drink wine, look at my guitar and think about playing it, without anyone interrupting my thought processes. No wonder La Nora wrote tons of novels working on a 10pm to 6am schedule...

My back hurts, my brain hurts, and I realized tonight how much I don't know about my new job. But the floor move went well and we got 95% of the job done, so that's fair. When they don't give you the proper window media, then you can't dress the windows properly, can you? Of course not.

Oh my god. I dress windows. Wasn't there a movie about someone who dressed windows?!!!

I need stylish shoes I can wear for 8 hours straight on my feet. I went out to find said shoes. I bought a skirt, a shirt, two tee shirts, two fancy plastic tablecloths for our trip this summer, and two pairs of shoes...but the shoes aren't good ones to wear for 8 hours straight on my feet. Stylish, they are.

I also booked a pedicure at the Spa for Friday morning. I am SO going to need it. Actually, I need it now...but they're not open. And they had no openings tomorrow. So Friday, it is!

If only I could afford a weekly shopping therapy! Right now, it would be a draw as to which I'd prefer...chiropractic therapy, or shopping therapy...
