The Syracuse Film Festival is a hell of a festival--we're blown away by it.

At tonight's ceremony, CREDO won the Judges' Award. Owen Shapiro, the festival director, read from a statement written by the judges that after they had awarded all "Bests" in each category, they got up from the table--and then sat down again, because there were several films they felt they needed to recognize. CREDO, which did not fit neatly into any genre, was one of those.

We are gratified to have received this honor, and very glad to have been there to accept it before an audience of our peers. We'd also like to publicly commend the organizers, volunteers, and partner organizations for creating a strongly art-oriented festival. As we said during our very brief acceptance speech: Thank you not only for the award, but for the festival's existance. Without such festivals, there is nowhere for this kind of art.
