remembering and a question

I have a question. Most of the journals that I have read on journalscape seem to be written by authors or prospective authors. I am talking about people who are writing because they enjoy the process and are hoping to sell their work it they haven't already. I don't know if that is luck of the draw or is it because I haven't read everybody. Or is it because birds of a feather stick together? Can anybody enlighten me on this? Funny thing is I a working on a story that has taken a life of it's own and I don't know where it is going. I thought I was writing one story and another one is coming out.

Second, my earlier post mentioned migraines and Rhubarb mentioned how some perfumes can give her a headache. Reminded me of something I did. Does anybody remember the fragrance Halston? I was newly married and in the Army (we met active duty at FT. Meade in 79 and married in 79.) We were in Okinawa Japan. Anyway, for my birthday my husband splurged and bought me the complete set of Halston-soap, bubble bath, lotion, powder and perfume all in one case. I loved the smell. One day before reporting to duty at 3pm, I decided that I was a girl and I would 'layer' the scent on. Well, I took the bubble bath (led to later problem-purification not good enough for ladies to immerse in). I used the soap-had to wash, used the lotion, the powder, the perfume. Then I put on my kahki green uniform and combat boots and we went to work. I worked in a sealed building-no windows. Within 1 hour I had the most horrendous headache. The guys I worked with were making fun of me-and one of the guys that sat closest to me wanted to know what the blank I had done. I told him. He laughed and told me that I had a reputation of being a 'good soldier and not a makeup doll'. I asked him if this spoiled it, he said no, but not to do it again. They all had headaches. That was the last time I used Halston. Can't stand the smell of it anymore-is it still for sale?
