It is Monday. I am at my desk today and have work to catch up on. Was really tempting to stay at home, but didn't want arguement from SO.

Week end was relatively uneventful. Yesterday went to go out to breakfast at a place called The Silver Diner. It is a chain here in the DC area. We enjoy going to one in VA-not so much the one in Greenfield MD. Well, Hubby didn't get the directions because the word portion didn't print out. Getting out of DC and over the Potomac into VA was a trip. There was a race going on that was not posted Friday and anything and everything around the MALL and Pennselvania Ave was blocked off. He wouldn't sto and ask a cop how to get out of DC and to where we wanted to go-that would've been to easy. We went one way we don't normally use. I recognized a couple of landmarks-certain Symphony/Opera Houses are good landmarks. Well since I recognized some things, he started making snide comments about me 'knowing' my way around more than he did. An hour later into VA and after he took a wrong exit-he turned around and we found the exit we usually take-then I didn't remember that that exit leads to the Diner. He was sarcastic the whole ride. Ever since MapQuest and similiar programs came available, he doesn't like regular maps. And he lost the instructions to his Blackberry so he doesn't know how to use the GPS on it.

Rest of the day was pretty uneventful. Went to Borders-apparently they are remodeling, the dvd section was pretty bare. I ended up using a coupon to buy a book that I was going to wait till it came out in paperback, but it was too tempting and 40% off was a good deal. I tried to find something for him, but he has stopped reading like he did when he was younger.

I also was looking for Diana Rowland's book-it comes out Tuesday. I may not be able to get it for a couple of weeks. Usually I can convince him to go to Borders once a month if I am lucky. He doesn't like the $100+ we spend. Yesterday was a low spending day there-$50. He gets AARP discount that we didn't know was available until yesterday.

Well, that brings us up to date. Take care.
