migraines

i had another migraine- it started Monday evening and lasted most of yesterday. I do have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. I am getting these migraines more frequently. I don't know if it is because of the compugter work I do, or if i need new glasses or combination. I have not even crocheted anything for awhile. got to get back on it. I did read some yesterday. Normal books don't seem to cause a problem. But i have been doing a lot of computer reading and spreadsheet updating. I inherited a spreadsheet program and I do not like the way it is set up, but the manager in charge of it, likes it. OH well, not my choice.

I was reading Reverendmother and she was talking about how we 'laugh' at our children or were laughed at when we were younger. It brought up a memory, my parents loved to 'tease'. most of the time I could not take it. They would hit sensitive spots and I could not respond. One Sunday, I had a friend come over-this girl and I are still friends. She teased me like friends do and I teased back. After she left, my parents got on me on how I could take my friends teasing and not theirs. When I was reading reverendmother, it dawned on me why I had a problem. Teasing has to be gentle, those closest to us should not use our sensitive points to tease. Friends outside of family are not in the same category as those we trust our safety to. When a parent teases a child, whether it is meant or not, the tease attacks a childs security net. Add to that a child who was not secure to begin with and you have a catastophe waiting to happen.
