thursday

This is the second time I did this. First time I hit the x and closed out the window. Oh well.

Only 1 more day (tomorrow) at this office. So much to do and not enough time. Need to wrap up special project-and pass it on to someone else-do not know whom yet. Need to organize files to give to Admin assist. to give to whoever covers for me so they have easier time than I did. Some things are written down but not all and trying to get them all down is hard and everytime I start on it, something else comes up. It is time consuming. Need to keep up normal duties and cover other secretary's desk and it is time keeping week. And need to try to review information on new job at same time. Help!! Drowning!!!!

It will pass-either it will get done or not. It is not life or death-payroll timekeeping will get done, special project will get done, what I can remember will get passed on. What doesn't, there are people here that can help. and it is only for 120 days. I don't expect this to be a permanent change. But it will be a challenge and has me a little scared.

SO took a day of leave off today. Lucky Ducky!! I cannot take any leave until holidays. Even then I am short of time unless I get to work credit hours before the week of Christmas. I hope so. And I hope I will be able to take that leave. I will need to talk to my new manager. I did not address that stuff on Tuesday-didn't have time. I am sending him an email today to make sure I have the correct tour of duty. I may still show up early.

On home front, made buffalo burgers last night-kept it simple, but did cook them in combo of olive oil and butter. I had never had that type of meat, but SO had brought it home as a "try" so we did. Next time, will use it similar to regular ground beef, but wanted to make sure no adverse reaction to taste etc. It was good, and settled better than ground beef. Less grease, (I knew it was a less fatty meat from previous reading that is why used combo fat type for cooking). Had baked beans with it. Worked good. More satisfying than regular hamburg cooked the same way.

Well, nothing else new. Watched "So You Think You Can Dance" looks like it will be a good season. Also watched Dangerous Minds or is it Criminal Minds-can never remember name correctly. It is about the SBU portion of the FBI, good show.
