I'm Back!

Do yourself a favor, don't get the flu. I had a second bout of it this past week. I slept alot- was in the bathroom alot, had weird dreams, Nyquil was my friend, and tolerated soup and diet gingerale. Friday and Saturday my back hurt-from my sides through my hips-lungs down. I didn't have any problems breathing which surprised me since I am asthmatic, though I have been very religious about taking all my meds; Tuesday through Saturday. Finally, Sunday I was a human being again I actually enjoyed food. Funny, though, I did try to make fried chicken-it did not work out-don't try to cook while you have a fever-I thought I was getting better. (LOL). At least it stopped raining and the REDSKINS WON!!! Finally!! (I am not a diehard fan, but that interception in the endzone was a beauty and turned the game around.)

On the crochet front, have to start my son's afghan. He is in Tucson AZ, I thought he wanted a black white and red afghan. He wants a black, purple and red one. I found some squares by the Crochet Dude and others and will be trying them out. I hope to use 2 or 3 different squares mixing up the colors. ie use each color and each pattern. He's over 6'8" so this will be an interesting exercise. I did find some interesting squares to use. I don't want to use more than 1 color in each square because of the openess and all the weaving in of ends. With the traveling I do back and forth for work, once I get settled into it, I should get quite a few done. Have to get the planning done.
