I am back

I am back at my regular job.

We have moved to a larger apartment. We have a regular bedroom, 3 closets (yeah!), living room, small kitchen (very small), dining room, "garden room" and it feels spacious! Have to see how long that feeling lasts. Many things are still in boxes! But I can cook a meal. Kitchen only has one very small drawer. That is holding dishclothes-and washclothes-just barely. Yesterday I spent most of the day holding items and talking to myself-"do we use this enough to put it here or should I shave that space for something we use more often?" type of conversations. Very enlightening. When I was explaining this to my husband, he stated that he was glad that he was in the old apartment cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms etc. We have fewer cabinets, but it is worth it. I do forsee a shopping trip to buy metal shelving to hold pots and pans and silverware, and the microwave-but that is down the road.

Before the move to the new apartment, we disconnected the internet, we now have new internet service, a landline home number and cable. It is a shock to the system to have so many choices again for tv. Food network is a good standby.

I am glad to be back at my regular job, but it is a shock to the system to get back in the swing of things, I need to get back into a routine; none of the paperwork has been filed, most hasn't been sorted. That was this morning's job.
