computer time

I don't write longhand much anymore. Even cards are hard. I have spent too many years in front of a keyboard for work and my handwriting shows the neglect. I can start out very legible, but within a paragraph, it goes downhill. I take 'notes' at out staff meetings-I am not a true secretary-no real training, no shorthand etc., just my own version, and at times I have trouble reading my own notes! Where was I going with this- well, if I am serious about writing, I need to write-right? For me to do that, I need time on the computer right- at home, not at work-see previous posts. We have talked about getting another desktop. We are using my daughters "hand me up" if you will. I mentioned to my husband that I would like to start writing, but really needed to wait until we had a desktop so that I could use the laptop-once it was cleared of miscellaneous programs (like solitare, budget etc.) Well, you would have thought I was bringing up a brand new topic-that it had never been talked about before. Hey, we had talked about it before. I just can't get time on it- he likes playing games online-better than on the playstation. On playstation time really gets away from him. (although, once I get into writing, I can see him hooking up the playstation in the bedroom and playing for hours while I am writing-keeping him very much amused. Sounds like I am planning for a kid, didn't mean it that way but sometimes...)

Small rant coming up-you all can ignore. made deal last night-I had to do small load of laundry-he said he was going to wash previous nights dishes while I did laundry. Then we would order out. Yeah right, I did small load, I will admit it was mainly stuff for me, but he played on computer even though he was having eye problem, then he layed down. No dished done, so tonight before I make supper-I will be doing dishes. Our kitchen is really small, Have to figure out another way of doing things so that cooking cleaning up isn't such a chore-yeesh.

Good news, our rugs should be coming in tonight-then new furniture Saturday!!

Didn't crochet much, fell asleep with hook in hand, so went to bed.

I do plan on setting up a schedule of writing and crocheting so that I can fit in all that I want to do, I will need to back off on 'must do' somewhat I think. One of the reasons that I have never fully promoted my crochet items for sale is that the few times I did, it changed the feel from fun to a 'job' and the enjoyment changed. I don't want that to happen with the writing or the crocheting. So, maybe I won't become that famous 'Novelist' ie Debbie MacComber in the Romance line-but hers is a JOB. But I will write, and just maybe get published eventuality when it is good enough.
