A different place

I am at the "Front Office" today. This is the secretary's desk of our Head Division. If you read a notice from my branch of the government it has come from here. I am dressed up a bit. So far, Her administrative assitant has commented on how nice I look, OOps I have been here before, not so dressed up. Dress is office appropriate, but I haven't been as careful of my wardrobe as I should have been. We don't have a dress code and after so many years of not needing to dress up, I have gotten lazy. Time to change that. This week, with the nicer weather, I have worn skirts and nicer tops. It feels good to be dressier. I think I need to redo my wardrobe.

"Davy Crockett" died. Oh wow, I remember playing frontier, and everyone wanted to be him. Even us girls insisted on being him. I still like watching those shows when I can catch it.

Went to crochet meeting last night-a new person showed up, and I had a blast teaching her how to read a pattern. She is in college-final years of student teaching. When she would hit a problem area, I would tell her to read the instructions. Most of the time, she would be misreading-and when she read it aloud she caught her error. She apologized for reading aloud and I told her that we all do it since it is the easiet way to learn a pattern. Once she gets the rythm of the pattern down, it won't be a problem. I also reminder her to loosen her grip on the hook. It was fun to see someone that excited to learn. She has made some hats, but is ready to learn new things. Just didn't know where to start.

See you later.
