April's Fool?

It is the beginning of a new month. Hopefully no jokes here, although this we tend to be a non-joking agency.

Quiet night-hubby had to go to a different post office to mail box to DS. The one near work is closed for remodeling-not that they posted it anywhere. So we decided to have easy supper-Kentucky Fried Chicken-not a usual supper but a good treat. He also picked up 2 5 layer burrito's for us to try. Not too bad for a treat.

Had a little more of a talk with hubby. Tried to let him see that it isn't that he's telling me not to do things during our non-working hours, but his actions are saying that I am asking for too much time. And that I am trying to find out if I am needing too much separatness time. If I am then I need to find out why.(If I am not, then I need to figure out how to explain this to my SO in such a way that he understands it.) I cannot change his behavior, only mine. I learned that a LONG time ago. He may need to change, but he has to want to. I can hear the confusion in his voice when we are talking about this whole issue. He doesn't understand why I need to escape for a whole weekend or 2 into books, or crochet or whatever and sometimes I don't understand it either.

On the other hand, it was a quiet night. I had to frog the baby afghan that I am making for my daughter again. (4th time). I found a simpler pattern & I'm just making that. I got the pattern in my brain so it should work up fairly quickly now.

Hopefully, the secretary is in today so that I can get work done at my desk!!! Couldn't get some work done yesterday. My boss was out and the next level secretary was out so I had to sit at her desk. The other secretary had to get some catch up done and couldn't cover. UGH. At least I didn't have to go upstairs-the other secretary did that.

On the writing front, still working at it a little at a time. Someone really wants to do harm to my main character-she's been shot at and now poisioned-this is after relatives were killed. I think that I may have enough action/tension going on for her, now I have to start turning it around, but not too fast.
