busy yesterday

Our e-mail system (Outlook) at work has a calendar and task system that I tried to use. The calendar system is pretty cool and I have been working it since I came here. I have 'look at only' access to my manager's calendar and he to mine. But I decided to use the task portion last week to document all the projects I needed to complete before the end of this week. I got most of them done already-some needed to be done before today-those are done. I have a few of things left to finish, but I am on a roll. I have decided not to use the task planner on it's own-but to use my day runner in conjunction. I will list the primary task on the task planner and break it down in my day runner. This way I won't forget something. Keeps it easier when things can take weeks to complete and I have too many apples and knives in the air. Late yesterday afternoon, boss decided that he's working from home today. (Yeah-no meeting this week.)

Last night got home and felt yuck-just drained-was sitting waiting for hubby to get home with supper, when neighbor decided to play music with very heavy drum beat. And his bass was on high. Hubby came home, supper wasn't as good as normal, but the bass beat was getting stronger. Hubby laid down and we both were getting headaches-took tylenol to no avail. I finally went next door to ask him to lower it a little . He said, "of course". But my husband swore that after I knocked the first time, the volume actually went up. It did. I laid down when I got back into the apartment, but even though he turned down the volume, the bass still reverberated through the apartment. We don't have neighbors on the other side. I think that it was 9 or later before it truly stopped. I dozed for a little bit, woke up to see the Washington Capitols loose the hockey game. They should win game 7.

No writing or crocheting. No arguining either-we both were in too much discomfort from the pounding!

We did talk about food though-we agreed that the clean up of the kitchen is the problem with cooking. Our kitchen is too small with no counter space. I suggested asking DD to store our dining room set and us getting a small dinette, and a portable dishwasher (help with cleanup). We could use the top of the dishwasher as a microwave stand and cover it with cloth to disguise it. I have never had a leaking problem and it does not take a whole lot of space. Considering we could run it at night, it should work. (only takes 3/4 hr to run and are quite. and would get worst of work out of way-no pile up of dishes.
