Sometimes

Sometimes you just have to live it the way it is and not try so hard to change it all at once. Step by step things are changing. When I push to hard, then things go drasticallly, dramatically bad. This weekend was good. I even read 2 books, and we figured out a major problem. And how to fix it. Mainly by not really over analyzing everyting, but by just letting each other know if something was bothering us right away. Great ending to a weekend.

But something did happen to me on Friday that scared both of us. We went into Barnes & Nobles - and I sort of freaked out. I stuck so close to hubby's wheel chair it wasn't funny. Even when we went to the second floor, I didn't go exploring like I usually do in a book store-hey folks, I am a bookworm-I read, I love books, I have never been in this particular store. He had to tell me go look around the corner. Finally found some books,(more later) but never really relaxed enough to enjoy being in a bookstore. The second thing was right after we left the bookstore and we were walking to the restaurant. We walked that way a couple of months ago but I did not recognize any of the landmarks, could not tell you were I was or anything. I know we have been down that street several times-always on foot. I find my way by the architecture-I can tell my way around different parts of DC I've been in by certain landmarks, but this was strange. Finally we were at a corner and some things looked familar, but I was still a little off. This was really weird, even for me. My husband was even telling me comments I had made the last time we were on that part of the street!! I didn't remember any of it and it was less than 2 months ago!

I eventually found the craft books-found a great crochet area-2 books bought-great resourses-what is "Crocheting on the Edge" can't remember author's name and a book with a lot of sweater type patterns that would fit size 10 to 3x. Beautiful patterns.

We went to a new restaurant, Zola's. It is right above The Spy Museum. Real nice place, great service with out rushing you; let you finish each course, then cleared and brought the next one with just a little wait-coffee was a little strong, but everything else was perfect. Just the right amount of food-not too much, not too little! So you were pleasantly full, but not stuffed. It was a little more expensive than someplace you would go every week, but really worth it.
