planning the night

Hubby got on a kick this week about me planning "alone" time. Now, I know I need this time to function. Or else my brain starts doing it for me-literally zoning everything else out for periods of time while I am reading, watching tv or whatever. Anyway, last night we had scheduled to play Scrabble, since we were to schedule "couple" time too. He is in training for work-to become a classroom instructor. Now, he has written instructor material, student material, material from scratch and taught in our agency's classrooms-better than the instructor's have.-He had to prepare for a 20 min presentation that he knew about before class started. Guess when he really started to prep etc. Yesterday-guess when he was suppose to give the presentation-yesterday. It was postponed to today. Guess what he did during couples time last night-you got it-his prep. I was left hanging. I know he had to do it. You know, I wasn't angry last night cause he finally got interested in really doing it, but right now I am fuming about it. He doesn't like it when I don't honor the times we set aside, but he delibrately violated them-of course with a good excuse that I couldn't fight. And I couldn't settle into 'alone' time for me, cause he kept saying he was almost done and it wouldn't take that much longer-he finished at 9. Tonight we are having couples times-I told him that this morning.
