Cheaper

While we were eating dinner last night, I explained to my DH that I wanted to knit him a sweater instead of crocheting it. I explained that I may need to spend $20 more than what I had told him previously-what card should I put it on? He sort of hemmed and hawed-Now it was "why was I starting a new project and money was tight still". I just looked at him straight faced and asked, Should I wait?. He said now and told me what debit card to use.

As it was, the owner of the shop wasn't in, and the shop was extremely busy!! She had run a "Groupon" special and people were responding to it. (DH is a member-we had got the special but didn't print it out fast enough!-would have really saved money!!) Anyway, whenever you spend $25 you get a card punched. When the card is full, you get $20 off you purchase. So, I picked up the yarn I had her put aside, and some additional yarn(the sweater I was making for my sister had to be frogged last night-instead of 40in bust line, I had 34 inch) for that sweater. Went to ring it up-she punched my card-it filled up and then she gave me $20 off so I was back down to the original amount I had told dh I was going to spend anyway!! (I still need to find a nice cardigan, for male 4x-something that would work good in a colorway-blue/gree/tan-really nice-have seen many pullovers but not many cardigans;( )
