Overprotective or something else?

I don't know why, but I have been pulling a back muscle frequently. I know how to lift, but this muscle seems to have developed a weakness. As part of my job (other duties as assigned), another secretary and I take turns stocking public shelves with tax forms. (this use to be done by another branch, but the employee who did it got another job and they didn't hire replacement-budjet. Powers that be decided we will do it). Occaisionally we have to move a box of forms/publications so that it can be unloaded to the shelf etc. Yesterday I lifted a box that was less than half full-and between stumbling on a sidewalk and that lift, by the time I got home, my back was hurting. Now DH has told me that if there were boxes to move, and noone else to do it, for me to call him. I didn't.

He rubbed my back and we cuddled a little bit for me to relax-his body acts like a giant hot pad and then with a couple of ibproufen, I slept 2 hours. (I only wanted to lay down 30 minutes but he did not wake me up). He then got upset at me because I didn't call him. And he had an attitude all evening. I called him on the attitude, but I am wondering-is he being overprotective? I am over reacting? He doesn't want me to hurt, the box wasn't heavy, and I am fine today-except for mild twinge. The powers that be don't want us secretaries lifting heavy boxes either, but this was just to move the box to make it easier to unload and place the forms-and it wasn't heavy. I did promise to call him if I need boxes moved again. (will try other people first.)
