We're here!

Still no real budget. But we are working for the next week at least. So here I am.

A relatively quiet weekend. But I did find out something about myself and DH. If I don't get dressed, don't expect me to really do anything..it means a lazy day, a day for me to do what I want. With emphasis on I. DH didn't expect that. We originally thought we were going to the Borders that was closing out... but I didn't feel like going out, just not quite feeling good. I went to get dressed after and DH asked why get dressed when not doing anything.

Then he was restless when I was doing my 'thing'-knitting, reading, watching tv. He couldn't settle down. I did get a good bit done on his sweater. He did have 2 books he could read, he could have cleaned by his chair if he wanted-his mess. He did look up a van on line(more on that later). But he wanted me to entertain him. He was like a four year old.

And then last night, as we were getting ready for bed, it hit him that "I" -meaning me, did not tell him that I needed 'my time'. I just took it. Uh, we talked throughout the day. I didn't disappear. I just relaxed-I just didn't provide entertainment for him. I didn't play games with him. (lovemaking is NOT what he was talking about ;-> ).

I am not his cruise director. I did talk with him, but because I was knitting his sweater, and the pattern is complex, I needed to pay attention to the pattern. And I got into the knitting.

About the van-we found one, it is relatively new to the US market, it is a Ford, and I forget the name. It is only 7 inches from the ground, easily handicap accesible, and is part of the Ford Accisblity package. Not overly expensive, and something that we can start putting funds aside for. (I think that is part of my problem, every time we go out, it involves a LOT of walking on my part, and all of it is local. Gets tiring after awhile. This would allow us to venture further afield).
