News

I have been saying no news is good news. Well, not in my case- just found out that I didn't get the detail. Oh, well-there is a job that opened in another office that is a permanent-grade 8/9 secretarial. I am going to try for it.

Talked to my daughter last night. An F-4 tornada went through the St Louis area last week-lots of property destroyed, no deaths. All is fine with her and family and property. Well, when they were looking for their new home, she had fallen in love with a particular house. Good thing they didn't get it-it was destroyed by this tornado.

Easter was a quiet day. Got our new bed fram up. Our box spring had broken-found out why. There was only 1 cross tie for the whole bed and that snapped so there was nothing to keep the bed flat!! Sandwich time. We bought a metal frame from Wal-mart, and for the first time since I moved out here I woke up without back aches. Frame will hold up to 2400lbs and extend to king size. I think it is actually a camping type frame, but it is nice an sturdy and has good storage underneath! Better than the old metal frame/box spring system.

Started on the baby afghan that DD needs me to make for her to give as baby gift. I thought I had used up all my baby yarn. DH found a bag with 6 skeins of matching pink and yellow baby yarn in it!! So that project can be done with!! Then it will be back to knitting sweater. Still have to refigure out what afghan for DD & SIL. But will figure out something.
