The function of this journal is changing. I will be using this to expand my writing capabilities more than I will use it as a diary. Although I will talk about my crocheting and some other things, I will be using this venue to explore my own growth as a writer and observer. I forgot that this is what I wanted to do here. I am sorry for the discomfort I caused to all of you, and I thank you for your patience. Please feel free to critique the writing skill.

I met several new people at the "Work Crochet Group". I believe I was the person with the most experience-at least in years. Two of the members deaf-one has implants that help her.

Anoter attendee hadn't crocheted in two years and brought her project with her-without the pattern; she lost it. I volunteered to 'translate' her pattern. It was a two sided afghan; two blankets in one. I remember seeing the pattern several years ago and it was revitalized a few months ago. I gave her what I believe is an accurate translation. She said that she was going to look online for the actual pattern. It will interesting to see how close I came to the actual directions! Since I was so busy translating her work, I didn't get much time to actually crochet myself!
