Missed a day

Well, I powered through Tuesday. Made it to the doctor's on Wednesday, but yesterday there was no way my head was letting me see light!

The doc has increased my meds, and she didn't like the way my coradid arteries sounded-so ultra sounds done. And next will be sleep study. I have been experiencing memory lapses. Forgeting parts of conversations with Dh & others within seconds of having them-remembering parts around a conversation, but forgetting 4-5 seconds of them. Forgetting facts I have known for years-like what country is Zurich located in? How to spell certain words. Enough to scare me. Doc did basic tests, it took me a few seconds to remember our presidents name. -that was scary. Obama. I know that. I voted for him. When she went backward in presidents it took a few moments too.

She thinks that my sleep apnea has gotten worse-bad enough that my brain is having night episodes when I am awake-just for a few seconds at a time-those are the seconds when I forget. She asked if I fall asleep when sitting down on watching tv. I had to laugh, I will for about 20 minutes a night. And my migraines aren't helping. If this is true, sleep study and then a machine will help. She said that Alzhiemers (my big worry) is the last thing that she's thinking of.

I like this doc, she doesn't dimiss me out of hand, and she's up to date with the studies. And she understands how one system affects the other-ie hormonal and brain. She is also the first one who took my saying when the weather changes my head reacts seriously.

My next reading in th book is a long one. I am behind.
