Career developement

Today's career development has been mainly working.

Some managers are in a course-and they are from out of town. And they have had to turn in the reviews of their managers. So it has been copying pages and helping as I can when they have a break from class. Giving up my computer so they can access their files, using the fax machine to make copies.

The director was called into a meeting upstairs, and no other manager is here to answer the phone. I cannot leave the room. Fax machines are so useful!

Yesterday afternoon I really cleaned of one side of my cubicle desk! I filed and sorted and reorganized. I will be finishing it tomorrow after time is input. My portable office is set also.

I also came to a conclusion. Most people say that to function well they need to be organized. With me, if my desk starts to look disorganized, it means that I am not functioning well. My disorganization is a side affect of my functionality. Does that make sense. My mental state is very much reflected in the state of my desk. I cannot get organized if my brain is not organized already. I need to monitor that very closely.
