Planning the day

I have to get the supply delivery unpacked and notated on supply spreadsheet. I have to get the filing caught up, 2012 files made, 2011 files boxed up, 2012 spreadsheets done and supply files made up.

Tomorrow I sit at the Division Secretary's desk. (first Friday of pay period) I will input time.

I am trying to get myself organized again! (i don't know why, but I don't seem to stay organized. Things do get done, but not the way I want them to. This is the second resolution for 2012. I now have two: Leave control and organization. I wonder how many I will end up with?

I have also deleted a site I have been reading at work. I have decided that I have been wasting time. If I need to go back to it, I can without a problem, but having it available is too much temptation. Not only that, I was starting to feel like a 'lurker' in a bad way. ICKY. So time to get off of it.

I also realized that I have not read in the Kahlil Gibran book for awhile. I will be starting that again and see how much further I get into it. Even if it gets complicated for me, it will help my brain to think differently, and that is always a good thing.

B and I started watching the series 'As Time Goes By'. Again. It has been a couple of years since we watched it. It is still funny in the dry British way-also in the 'yeah, we are older and can appreciate the irony of life' way. It is good to sit there with a cup of hot chocolate and laugh at/with a couple who are rediscovering lost love 35 years after losing each other. It is also an easy way to head off to bed afterwards.

I finished B's slippers last night. Need to adjust the pattern for his right foot-it is not as big as his left and it needs to be a bit snugger across the top front for sleeping purposes. At least now his feet will be warmer at night. The rest of his body stays warm, but his toes get cold to easy. I need to find yarn in the apartment to make another pair or two now. I think I'll make him 3pair for next Christmas. (give myself a headstart and start them now!)
