A different feeling

Now that you read the poem let me tell you about it.

I was sitting on the bench in a different part of the city and it was getting dark. A little apprehensive since I had never been there and it is the college area of town. It is one of the many small parks with just some benchs. I was hyper alert and concious of anyone walking by. Sounds very important. As you can tell by the poem. And then a feeling I haven't had in ages came over me, and I had to write it down.

I carry my journal with me at all times now. And the rough draft of the poem is there. The one I typed is polished up a little. I haven't written poetry in about 8 years. That part of my creative spirit had dried up, I thought. I am very excited that it hasn't. I know it isn't the greatest thing ever written, but the feeling inside me is what I was excited about!!

I actually read B most of this before MC and he was enthusiastic about it. I use to write alot when I was first married and that tapered off over time.

I am just excited to get that spark back. Just to write about the sounds I heard made me concentrate on them all the more. And made me less scared, though I was alert to any possible danger. I was in a very safe part of town!
