Cussedness

Well, I was told by my agent that my novel, although well-written, was too long to sell to a traditional publisher and I would probably have to cut 50,000 words out of it in order to sell it. That had me intensely depressed.

However, I decided to go outside the box with this one to maintain the integrity of the manuscript. I went to Renaissance Ebooks, the company that I do freelance copy-editing for, and sent the Editor-in-Chief, who is also Associate Publisher (I only just learned of the promotion) the first chapter and received a contract in less than half an hour. Jean Marie Stine had been begging me to sell them something for over a year. So now I have.

The first volume of my trilogy, Dark Brothers of the Light, will be out in ten days. That one is called Blood Rites. It will be followed within weeks by Blood Heresy and Bloody Sunrise.
