I am an out of the closet, bi-sexual gender queer and have long believed that the personal is political. Perhaps that is simply a bit of 1960s idealism that most people have outgrown; but it remains near and dear to me.

I am the best-selling dark fantasy ebook author of the Dark Brothers of the Light series. I made my first short story sale at 23. it appeared in Amazons! which took the World Fantasy Award for best anthology in 1980

thoughts on the imperfections of society

When did we become a society that appears to worship anger?

I sometimes wonder if this is a symptom of deeper problems within our world or if it is caused by the entitlement mentality that has sprouted all around me.

People who have no comprehension of value given and received bother me.

In ancient Rome, there were writers who produced some incredible texts, plays, poems, and stories. There were also graffiti artists scribbling nonsense on the walls of the city. Examples of this have been found at Pompeii.

Ironically, there are a lot of 'writers' on the internet who produce stories that are churned out and thrown into people's faces like the scribblings of those graffiti artists and yet they expect to be treated with the reverent regard of a Virgil or a Horace.

The Romans would have thrown them to the lions.

Not a bad thought. Can anyone out there loan me some lions and a big pit?
